Hobart, Australia

I’ve been thinking of ways to use up all my beautiful cottons, I wanted something which was simple to make and could be worn in “ALL SORTS” of ways, I have to usually make for a market stall so simplicity in construction is VITAL! This top is slightly based on the wonderful Afternoon Tea Top by Ichigogirl, however I’ve completely changed all the elements to allow for a stretch knit. The top was very quick and easy, the lengthy part is making the plaited feature at the front. I also made the skirts, blazer and capelet to go with the shoot. Photoshoot was done in under 30 minutes and it was absolutely freezing, so “thank-you” to my beautiful brave models.

Thanks Claire, I simplified the Icho-go-girl Afternoon Tea Top pattern. You could try using this pattern, I used a jersey rib for the bust and jersey again for the remaining bodice. GOOD LUCK ;))

These are nice, I really like the way you used solid colors-and that braid stuff in the middle is CUTE. Too bad it was so cold out during the shoot, but it looks like it paid off!

    Those tops are very cute!

Yes, brave girls – when we were in Hobart the other week – we nearly got blown off Mt Wellington in a snow blizzard!!!

Where is your market stall? We went to the Salamanca Market – it was pretty funky! I got some nifty earrings.
