A...half a vest?

Haha, I didn’t know what to refer to it as. An underbust…ehh..? My mother and friend referred to it as a belt. Basically, I traced the bottom half of a vest pattern for this. Came out alright. I got the idea while I was looking for images of this cartoon show I watch called Ergo Proxy. I found an image of a girl dressing up as the main character named Re-L [I must add she looked almost just like her]. The main character wears a sort of underbust vest thing and I got this idea because her underbust vest sort of looked like this when she wears her vest.

Sorry for the lame pictures. I left my camera on the wrong mode.

I’ll try uploading a pattern, because I actually had to alter the vest pattern a great deal.

      Thanks a lot. =D

Yeah, I was thinking that, and I just found a shop where I can get boning yesterday [haven’t been able to find it much where I live and I didn’t feel like bothering my mother to order it online], I was so excited, haha. I think I’ll try making it again.

      Thank you. =)

Well, so far I’ve worn it with a black t-shirt and short-ish black skirt. Right now, it’s on the mannequin with a long tulle black skirt that I’m working on which I will post when it’s done. I forgot to write where I got the idea from! =P Gonna update.

Have you tried wearing it? Does it stay in place? It seems like it would slip down if it wasn’t super tight. It’s cool though! Good job!

      Hmm, I thought I replied to this =P. Thanks a lot. =)

I’ve worn it a couple times, it hasn’t slipped down and doesn’t turn around. And it’s not too tight that it’s uncomfortable or might rip or the buttons will pop off. =)

Thanks. Yeah, I thought so, but my friend told me not to call it that for some reason like because it’s not laced or something. =P
