A touch of Green

Added Jun 10, 2012

Kingston, Jamaica

A black and white stripe dress with a touch of green rolled hem around the edges of the flounces. The style was inspired by leanne marshall 1877 with some modification. The length of the dress was adjusted. making it longer. A metal zipper was added at the back. The flounces remain the usually length because I ran out of fabric. The top edge of the flounce was attached to the top of the dress.

I think my style adjustment turned out great.

What do u think?

Hi, Kisses! Good luck with your Burrerick dress – I wish you to find your perfect fabric soon. You’ve done pretty amazing projects…! Very challenging…( you also happened to join the Burdda on my birthday :-) Cheers, SMcB

:-) Thank you very much. I am thinking about a redo in a different fabric choice and add another pop idea.

I love it! It looks great on you. If you hadn’t said, I never would have guessed the flounces were meant to go the length of the dress.
