A red suspender skirt

A vintage outfit I made for a 1930s picnic last month! Though the blouse is modern, the hat is from the late 20s/early 30s, and the suspender skirt was made by me using Advance 4780 (published in 1946).

You can see my tutorial on how I graded up this skirt pattern (originally, it was a bit too small) here: annaintechnicolor.wordpress.com/2012/08/21/tutorial-gradi…

I love the suspenders. Looks great on you. I agree with puzzlingus about the color, red looks good on you.

Thanks! And there were actually several shades of red linen on the same bolt! I ended up with this one because it was the piece with the most continuous yardage.;)
