i love green! i searched for long long time a dress with the right shade of green,as i didn’t find it i decided to make my own…
i purchased a lovely green cotton (2.5 mt that i used partially)
i want to point out that i didn’t use pattern to realize this dress. i only had a pre-doing of the bust piece.
tough is a good result i’m not totally happy with it cause in some parts is pretty messed up….for example the zip part(ouch!!) see the third photo.
i added a little elastic band(the white stripe peeping near the zip) to help myself better enter in the dress :-D
feel free to comment and leave me your help,as this one it’s one of my first dress projects…

Looks great! And really looove the green! Too bad the zipper is a bit messy. There are some zipper tutorials on this site…maybe they can help for your next dress?!

it looks lovely! zippers are tough, but once you get enough practice they’re not so bad. I still prefer stretchy fabric so i don’t have to deal with them though :D it looks like there’s too much fabric by the zipper, like you need to take out the seam and do it up tighter? kinda hard to tell from the close up. the skirt looks very interesting, like it’s layered? kinda petal-like? a full shot of the front would be great. Very nicely done for one of your first-and with no pattern-dresses! Keep sewing :)
