20s velvet dress with lace top

I used pattern #103 of Burda 11/2010 for this easy dress. I used a cotton-spandex blend which resembles velvet but is more like a sweatpants material so it’s super comfy. For the top I used a viscose-lace instead of the suggested organza because I figured it would hide bra-straps better. I also added sleeves because it’s more flattering on me.

Simple, fast, very rewarding. Also the pattern fit’s good because of the elastic waste. I feel it’s perfect for christmas, I think I’ll wear it during the holidays.

I blogged about it here: http://katarinasellsseashells.blogspot.com/2010/11/time-traveler.html

Beautiful!! I bought that issue of Burda and loved this pattern, it’s so nice see it already done and yours looks prettier than the original, love the fabrics you chose. Congratulations!
