1940s spotted brown blouse

As soon as I got an old skirt from my grandmother I knew I wouldn’t wear it, but I also knew that the fabric is perfect for a 1940s shirt!
I used a BurdaStyle pattern, letting go of the darts (since the fabric would be gathered at the waist whilst wearing a skirt), gathering the back at the yoke instead of pleating it, lengthening the sleeves and also gathering them at the cuff, adding a second flap to the collar and last but not least, adding shoulder pads to give the blouse the right mid-1940s silhouette.

Material Notes

Recycled rayon skirt

This is gorgeous. Second flap? a second collar? I can’t quite make it out in the photo.
