1940's shoe clips!

This one was a very quick and easy project – I really wanted some rose shoe clips to adorn my favourite pair of black 1940’s pumps. So I crocheted a couple of roses out of second hand yarn, and attached them to vintage shoe clip findings.. aaaand voila!

great! Where did you find the clips? I have wanted to do this with my embroideries for ages – considered hairclips but couldn’t find anything just right!

Terrific idea! I have to show this to my Sister who loves to crochet. I’m sure she would be willing to make some for her favorite sister, don’t you think!

Oh how I agree! That’s “need” with a capital N! I bought them and was disappointed to find they were too narrow (curse the tiny feet of ladies in the 1940’s!). Luckily the cobbler stretched them for me and now they are the most frequently worn pair of heels EVER.

I love shoe clips! They are so practical! My grandma gave me a handful of her old ones a while back and they are so fun. I love how cute they look on your shoes. Great crochet handiwork! :)
