This quilt is proof positive of why I should always be talked out of quilting….it took me 10 years to finish! And to be perfectly honest, I didn’t actually do the finishing of it (thanks, Mom!). But now it keeps me nice and cozy, and is a lesson learned.

Also, this one’s for you, Ralf! As promised, my quilt is finally finished :)

Material Notes

Wool blend, Cotton-poly blend, Warm & Natural batting

OM Goodness! I nearly died when I read that you had a quilt that had been sitting around for 10 years waiting to be finished!!! I TOO HAVE SUCH QUILTS!!! We are indeed kindred, yet lazy, spirits my friend!!

Congrats on getting yours finished. You may inspire me. .. please inspire me!! I am so sick of seeing the darn thing sitting around. . . .

It is lovely. Can I borrow your Mom? Please?? !!!

Hahaha!!! It’s good to know that I’m not alone :) Oh, man, if I could hop on a flight to Oz, mom in tow, she’d be so delighted to sit and tackle your 10 yr quilts. She’s nutty like that!

WOW!!! this is gorgeous!! I am just getting into quilting and haven’t done anything near that intricate! I can see why it took you 10 years with those tiny rectangles! I really like the zig-zag pattern that it creates, though. Kudos on the beautiful design quilted in, also. I hope that one day I can make something this beautiful!

Aw, thanks! There are so many mistakes in it (misaligned sections), and really the reason it took 10 yrs was because I never finished the actual quilting of layers. Talk about putting something on the back burner!
