Thank you for your lovely comment! It wasn’t terribly hard to adapt. I just added an inch on the side seams and… I think around the arm holes, which was a mistake (I made this about a month ago, and I don’t remember all the details). It ended up being a little too wide across the chest on either side of the neckline. So that was a lesson learned. Playing with the pattern was interesting— When I was cutting I went ahead and made the hem an inch longer than it would have been, and I’m glad I did! It would have been just a bra if I hadn’t. Another thing I noticed is that the neckline was really, really high even though in the picture it looks like reasonable. I ended up lowering it a little to make it a little sexier.

I wasn’t terribly tempted to make the bonnet! But it did look like fun.

Wow, I typed a lot. Hope that wasn’t boring. Anyway, thanks for the props :)

Not at all boring! I love retro patterns and want to make something a bit like your top…don’t think I would ever wear it though but it would please me to have it, if you know what I mean. The bonnet is just madness itself! Still, I could make one and wear it to scare the horses!!
