Hey!!!! I can’t believe we never met while you were in London!!!! Time flies by, it is too incredible. How did you like it? It seems you did well at Central Saint Martins, well done for your job position at the school of Fine Arts. Best wishes!

Hey! We never did indeed! :-( Well, time does fly and boy, was living in London quite an education. I ended my course and bowed never to study fashion again so I studied my MA at King’s College. That is a proper school. As for CSM, it’s quite disappointing. Then again, it has the lowest student satisfaction of any university in the UK, according to the annual student survey. International students are treated like garbage there.
The rest I enjoyed; I went to Oxford, Cambridge, Kent, Reading, York, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Oban and the Western Highlands (my childhood dream) and made friends. Unfortunately, my time was up and I had to leave but I am doing quite well over here in the Caribbean so, nothing’s lost ;-). How are you? How’s life treating you? xxx

I want to congratulate you for your blog. I check it out and I love it. I actually agree with you in a lot of what you said about Galliano and Rodarte. It`s funny because I felt like I was the only one who thought that way. I also love your beading skills, that outfit indded is worthy of winning many contests. Well! Congrats and God bless!

Thank you for your comments. I blogged what needed to be blogged; fashion journalists are notorious for kissing famous designer’s butts. A lot of people feel the same way about Galliano, for example, but are afraid to speak their minds.
And thank you for commenting on my dress! I wish you success and blessings.

Hi! Just found you accidentally and as I’m a big fan of Shakespeares Macbeth (and have been playing Lady Macbeth twice) I just wanted to congratulate you on your collection :-) I think it is a marvellous idea and even though I’d really have enjoyed it, if you had elaborated more on your ideas for the individual designs, I think I understand what you wanted to get across :-) Greetings from an admirer of Shakespeare’s wonderful character Lady Macbeth and again my praise to you and your work

Oh, this is fantastic! I did my BFA dissertation on Lady Macbeth, and my MA dissertation on Malcolm ‘Canmore’! My collection was more inspired on cultural clash between invading Romans and native Celts during the Roman conquest of Britain and in Boudicca’s revolt in 66 AD.

Medieval Scotland is the inspiration to everything I do, especially Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. I am also interested in them as historical characters, though all we know of ‘Lady Macbeth’ is that she is called ‘Gruoch’ in a Latin notitiae of the 11th century (there is no Gaelic name ‘Gruoch’, so it is believed that it is a Latinisation of the Gaelic ‘Gruagh’.)

If you’re interested in the historical characters, there are two pretty good books:
King Hereafter by Dorothy Dunnett and Lady Macbeth by Susan King. Of course they’re both novels and therefore take liberties on history and sometimes kind of try to incorporate Shakespeare’s play, but they are both based on two different theories on who the “real” Macbeth and his wife were.

I hope to see more of your work soon :)

You have been accepted to Central St Martin! Fashion course I guess?Waow congratulations!!! It the best course for fashion, but I have to warn you though, the athmosphere is infamously very competitive as you may know already. There are shops in Berwick street in Soho, you can go to Brick Lane, further north in Edgware road (supposed to be much cheaper than in the centre), I know one shop in Holloway at the beginning of Seven Sisters Road. How exciting! Keep me posted! XX

I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciated your compliment on the little top I made and in your comment on my wall, it was very encouraging. I’m more studied in fine art and graphic design so I don’t have much comparison of ability when it comes to sewing. I just started sewing a couple months ago, what you see on my Burda profile is everything I’ve done. Thank you again! I admire how you’re able to design runway quality garments from scratch!
