AWWW… thanks for your comment, its funny that you mention Marc Jacobs because he’s my favorite along with Lanvin but the pattern isn’t hard to do… What I do is make a strip of fabric(of whatever you like) fold it in half and then give the thickness of the collar of about 1- 3inches. Cut straight along depending on how long you want it as well. I usually make it about a yard. Once you have it cut, do a triple stitch all the way down so that the end of the strip is sealed… once that is done then you can attach to whatever you want…I hope this helps…

Your stuff is great, on my meanderings through the garden of burda creations I have often found myself back at your profile and admiring your skills. And it’s a joy to see a guy on here that has so much fun with a sewing machine. Hey do you have any recommendations for places to find good, interesting mens patterns? Apart from this site it seems like a bit of a men’s pattern desert out there.. a x

hey there- sorry to say but I didn’t use a pattern for the dress, but i was heavily influenced by a herve ledger dress that leighton meester wore on the cover of a magazine once, the only difference is that mine was made of stretchy cotton jersey, so I didn’t put a zipper anywhere.. so to get a better idea of the bow detail and shape you can reference that— LINK HERE!! it’s much clearer than my grainy macbook pic, and easier to see than black on black lol.. Best of luck!!
