I recently downloaded my first pattern in a PDF format. Obviously it was printed on regularly paper so I had some challenges when cutting it out with my material. For example, for my dress both the front and back had to be cut on the fold so I had to turn one of the pieces over to cut it. That, of course, left me unable to see the lines for cutting. Any thoughts on how to make this easier? Is there an easy way to transfer the ‘paper’ pattern to something else that would make these kinds of challenges easier? I would love to hear your thoughts and experience.

The usual thing is to trace the pattern over to tracing paper. This is transparent, and means you will be able to see the markings. It is also useful to keep the original pattern intact so that you can cut other sizes at some later point.

I have tried to pay for the Biker Style Peplum Jacket (on sale for $2.99 USD) several times and each time I enter my payment information, I’m sent back to the login screen. I have ordered patterns from your site before and never had any difficulty. I’d appreciate some help before the sale price is no longer valid. Thank you, Barbara Moss

I’m trying to make blouse #6632. The instructions for the sleeve placket facing are so sparse that I just can’t figure out what to do. The illustrations are confusing. I’m an experienced sewer, but I’ve never encountered instructions like this. Can someone explain this process?

Hi. Is there any way we can pay for patterns by Paypal. In the UK, my bank charges almost as much as the pattern for currency conversion.

For the life of me I can’t get pattern Pattern 118-042012-Schnitt_original.pdf Perfect Fitted Pencil Skirt pattern to print the correct test square. I’ve tried everything. Any suggestions? Is it possible that the pattern I purchased isn’t the right pattern? I’m getting really annoyed at this and thinking twice before I purchase another sewing pattern from Burda.

When I print the pattern – the marks that I need to line up are not the same size. On the right side of the paper the triangle appears normal size and has a line that it sets up against. But the marks that are on the left side of the page appear MUCH smaller as if only the tip of the triangle made it in the printing. The legs don’t match the prior page’s triangle. I know there can be small gaps when printing to the edge of a page – but how do I match up these marks?

On t he slope pattern I purchased the test sizing box measures 5 inches instead of the 4 inches that was stipulated. I didn’t scale the pattern when downloadinng and printing so I am assuming my printed pattern is outsized the sme as the test block. What is the problem?

Hi, I found two patterns from Burda for download in another site. Unfortunately this site only allows home printing, and one cannot see the whole sheet. Can you help me getting these patterns from your site directly? I can’t seem to find them. Patterns are 7136 Blouse and 7045 Shirt.

I purchased the National Sewing Month kit. The digital magazine works perfectly (so far). I tried to access one of the patterns and it worked well. However, the individual patterns that came in the kit are not properly installing on my computer. When I extract the files I get the following error for the individual patterns:

An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.

    Error 0×80070057: Parameter is incorrect.

._09:2011 Sleeveless Blouse Type: File Date Modified: 8/29/2016 4:26 PM Size: 239 bytes

I get the same error with each one of the individual patterns. I have searched on the internet and tried the solutions I found there, but they did not solve the issue.

I am using Windows 10, with a 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor. However, I tried it on a Windows 7 computer and got the same error.

Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

I just ordered a pattern to print at home. I did it on my phone thinking it would send the pdf to my email and I could print it from my computer. The pdf popped up on my phone and now it’s gone. Does it really not come via email? And how do I get it back?

I am a Home Ec graduate with a teaching credential and have been sewing for about 70 years; therefore I consider myself an experienced sewer. I have made a wedding dress, suits (both men and women), and various other projects. I am now working on my first Burda pattern and find it very difficult. Why not put notches on seams rather than use numbers? I suggest you form focus groups for any future pattern development.

Hello BurdaStyle since the last three days I can’t see any newer member projects. Also yesterday I tried to add a new project and it didn’t show at the projects. My Activity showed 6 projects but my studio had only 5 projects total amount. Then I removed the last project..

    Thank you.
