My site I have put up in the info box about me… like you!

Have a simply wonderful book you will love- being connected to sewing and bookbinding (heaven i tell you!) ‘Fabric Art journals’ by Pam Sussman. She has some really inspiring ideas on how to make fabric books. Incredible! She goes into home dyeing and how to create the whole look of the book. I got the fabric house idea from her- I think it would be great for a child….

Really fantastic book- can’t reccommend it more.

Respect to the coptic stitch- you have to be a very neat sewer to put it on view. Have you done it with wooden covers? That looks great. I bought some scraps of leather from a bookbinding firm when I was home in Scotland (Love that place- that have a big box of throw away and they just let you have it but I never have the heart to leave without giving them something!) and I think I got hold of some crocodile skin…. I am looking forward to putting that on a book one day. The scraps are nice a fine too… just right for sewing, again have to find the right project.

I really like your site…. I am also a printmaker and I have found sewing is a really nice medium to transfer ideas… I have a small blog spot too- its more about photos and things I am up to, but, no way as nicely done as your site. Hmmm, I need to refresh it a little!! =) Do you do bookbinding too? I love it! Its another sewing/crafting that is so satisfying!

Yes, I do dabble in book binding. Not hard core or anything but some simple sketch and watercolor books have been made. I a big fan of the coptic stitch :)
Thank you for your sweet compliments about my blog – I have worked really hard on it so it’s nice when it is appreciated! what’s your site name?! I’d love to see~

I know, it’s great to get like-minded people looking at your site!

You can make a click through link in your project’s description by typing in quotes and then colon

quote art nest quote colon http://www.anartnest.squarespace.com/

I can’t type it because it just turns into a link

Hello and welcome! I am glad to see you here! I visit your blog and I admire your talent! First let me thank you on the lovely comment! As for the pattern – I used a picture as a guide to draft the pattern myself from a Simplicity Catalogue dating back from 1979. There is a shirt similar to this and it says that it is pattern 8327 (Girl’s jiffy pullover blouse). I believe you can find it on the Net. I am sorry I couldn’t be of much help!

Thank you so much for your compliments! I’ll search for the pattern (or something like it)! I find it’s ‘hard’ to find cute patterns for my 10 year old. Although, I admit, I’m extremely picky as to what I will sew :)

Love all your beautifully presented work and look forward to seeing more. Too busy to upload any new patterns at the moment, but I’m sure I’ll get around to it eventually ;-))
