This slip on summer dress has ties at the back to give it shape, and a deep front pleat that really gives it that wrap look.

This pattern is from the Two of a Kind collection.

Lightweight cotton fabrics.

Amount of Fabrics

Note: This style is sewn from a double layer of the delicate original fabric.

White batiste,
width: 150 cm (59 ins)
length: 2.65 – 2.65 – 2.70 – 3.00 – 3.10 m
(3 – 3 – 3 – 3 3/8 – 3 1/2 yds).

Elastic, 7 mm (1/4 in) wide and 0.25 – 0.25 – 0.25 – 0.25 – 0.30 m (3/8 yd) long.

    This dress can be easily converted into a classy maternity dress. All you have to do is to chose a fabric that isn’t see-through. Instead of cutting a full inner front and inner back piece I cut only the upper part of them and made them a partial lining that covers the bust/upper back area. With this construction the front fold can open as much as needed in the belly area.

    purchased this pattern and got as far as cutting out pattern pieces. I’m stuck now because the sewing instructions are so vague. Can anyone provide any more detailed instruction on how to start putting the pieces together?

    There’s a problem with the downloadable PDF, otherwise you could have had a look there. I believe the yardage indicated is calculated for the double layer method. PDF stops downoading at 1.6 MB – tried it various times. Can Burdastyle fix this?

    does the yardage require include the double layer or do I need to buy twice the fabric?

      I managed to download the instructions PDF now. I’d buz two meters (for up to size 38,40) for a one layer dress. Have a look at the cutting instructions…
