Women’s wrap coat sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes and is produced by BurdaStyle Magazine.

Perfect for those looking to sew their first coat or to try a new style. The maxi coat with the shawl collar, overcut shoulders and oversized pockets completely avoids lining – though it is absolutely cosy and warm thanks to the brushed wool fabric.

This pattern is from the A Festive Season collection.

Recommended Materials

Lightweight brushed coat fabrics.

Completed this coat earlier this week. Very simple to sew up. I made just a few adjustments that include lengthening it to just short of floor length and moved pocket placement up. Would likely make it again further adjusting the width of the collar. to make it broader. For me, as it is, the coat turned out a little robe-ish. I cut about 2 sizes smaller than I usually do because of the weight of fabric I used. Glad I did. Would suggest anyone checks body measurement and pattern measurements before deciding on cut size. Overall pleased again with burda!
