This was the first Burda pattern I have purchased and was really disappointed with the instructions. I didn’t realise there would be no diagrams or pictures, as every other pattern brand I have used have diagrams. The instructions don’t go into enough detail, just saying “pin it”. Pin it where?!?! Usually I can eventually figure out some tricky techniques however not with this pattern. It has gotten to the point where I have thrown out the instructions and am now just using various bloggers tutorials to figure it out myself. Also don’t like the fact that we are expected to draft our own pattern pieces. Yes, they may be simple squares or rectangles, but isn’t that what we’re paying you for? Think I’ll just stick to my regular patterns brands from now on.

Does anyone have any tips for creating the pleats on these trousers? The instructions are quite difficult to follow and I can’t seem to get it to look right!

Exactly my question! Love the combination, as shown here! Too bad your question wasn’t answered. Still, I guess it wouldn’t be too hard to search out a boxy, long-sleeve top like this…. but why not reference the patterns used for the whole outfit. I probably would have purchased both, instead of not purchasing this pattern at all. :-(
