Women’s plus size trousers sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes and is produced by BurdaStyle Magazine.

There is much to appreciate with these slim fit trousers featuring the perfect cut and perfect details. Hip yoke pockets and a side zipper pull the look together. Topstitched bands drop fashionably to the hem to finish in a stylish slit detail. And the best part: The cropped length works just as well with heels as it does with a pair of flats.

This pattern is from the Modern Business collection.

Dear Christa, I also have the question of fabric choice every time I’m making new trousers. I have once made linen pants with a side zipper. Although I had my own personalized pattern they used to drop down my waist when wearing them for more than two hours. So (at home ;)))….I reopened the seam at the waist, put in an elastic band sewn to 2 fabricstrips and closed the seam. Voilà, now these pants fit me perfectly.

So, if you don’t have a pattern that fits you exactly I would rather go for some stretch or be prepared for alteration. Twill? I’ve never worked with that but would love to know too.

I love these pants… would they work in a non-elastane material? I’m thinking either twill or linen.
