The pattern instructions are right as there are just two pieces to draft out in duplicate. The construction is unique and not inituitive, but creative. First each sleeve piece is sewn to the side of jacket piece as marked. Next each jacket piece is folded in half and the rest of the side seam is sewn (30.5 cm marked portion to 30.5 cm marked portion). Then the sleeves are folded in half and sewn. The next step is what is clever….The center back is the combination of the side marked (55-61 cm depending on which size you cut) PLUS the diagnoal side. The portion marked 123-126 cm is the front edge and self rolled collar. The dove-tailed hem is made of the edges marked 42-48 cm.

Has anyone finished this cardigan? These instructions are really confusing…I’m not even sure what part is the top or bottom

I also down loaded it but it’s not correct. The front and the back should not be the same pattern piece. What a disappointment.

It’s supposed to be just instructions, but it’s horrific! I ordered it and the instructions are showing the same exact shape fro the front and back. Simply looking at the shape of the cardigan you can clearly see that is not possible. There is a collar built into the front which would again make it impossible for the front and back to have the same pattern shape. On the pics the sleeves are full length but the instructions look like 2 nubs of a sleeve. I emailed Burda about the issue, still no resolution…..

I wish there was a front view of the model wearing this so we could get a better sense of how it falls. Plus the back pic with her seemly seated on a bench doesn’t really offer any sense of how this sweater drapes either. Has anyone made this sweater? Would you mind posting a pic?

Is this an actual pattern or just instructions?

Just instructions. It’s a draft your own pattern but there are issues with the pattern.

Just purchased and downloaded the instructions. It’s not clear what pieces to sew together for the “crosswise seam” across the back. Am I missing a pattern piece? Am I supposed to make a faux seam across the back? Thank you.
