I’m giving this pattern five stars because the dress turned out beautifully. However, if you are a beginner, I wouldnt attempt this pattern unless you have someone with more experience there to help you. I am not a beginner, but I still had many frustrating moments trying to understand what I was supposed to do. The pattern has no pictures to show you what to do, and the instructions often leave details out, assuming you already know the technique. The dress is truly beautiful though, an heirloom. I made it for my daughter’s baptism and confirmation. I’ll post pictures in my studio if you would like to see them. Oh, one more thing, the lace inserts are difficult to find. I found two sets; one on Etsy and one on EBay. The one I chose had to be sent from Australia, so be sure to allow time for searching for lace into your sewing plans.
