The design for this playful skirt came from our very own kasia26! Great for summer fun, this skirt features gathering of the pocket backing and bold bib-front buttons. Try using a contrast for the pocket backing for some extra punch.

I agree, making previously free patterns paid is not good. I hope some of the money from sales goes to Kasia?

The blogger says she got it for free. So why is it listed as costing 5.99 cents?

unfortunatelly, this is not the only pattern that used to be free and now has a price tag on it. I’m disappointed with burdastyle for this and for all the advertising going on in this site. It really bothers me.

One criticism- this model is so thin, she does not show off how realistically this skirt would look. It does look great on slim hips, but what about pears? My suggestion (and I hope to try it out some day) Contrast fabric to be used on the front pieces of pocket inserts, extended to the waistband above for the most flattering effect. Three small buttons look better than two large. Piping looks brilliant , maybe using tone-on-tone combination plus contrasting piping. I would also only gather the front pieces, as double gathers look a bit bulky on some ready versions
