Jersey. Use stretch jersey fabrics only.

cotton jersey,

Interfacing, Vilene/Pellon G 785.

Vilene Bias Tape (stay tape).

A twin sewing machine needle.

    A pattern to use as a base and work on it.

    First of all the pattern is much longer than it seems on the model’s picture. And te 2 girls who made theirs are tall. Second and most important, why is it that the 2 girls don’t show the backs? because if you follow this pattern as it is, the back makes an ugly bag in the middle of your back section and then of course will be thigh on the hips area. The only way for this pattern to become a great piece is to trace 2 deep darts on the back I am using it to make a shirt so I made the piece shorter and extended the buttons pieces. I honestly don’t know who trace Burda patterns but definitely they never fit well just as they are. I am sorry to say but that’s why the majority of the finished projects I see look pretty poor in construction and finishing. Also, the neck piece and the front button pieces need interfacing to look sharp.
