Description

Women’s dress sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes and is produced by burda style magazine.

You can picture this dress being worn by a 1950s starlet. The bodice has a lovely wrap effect with fluttery draped sleeves and a gathered tea length skirt. It’s so romantic in white, black, or a vintage looking floral.

Apparently someone on Etsy is selling this pattern as her own: https://www.etsy.com/se-en/listing/237618874/cocktail-dress-pattern-instruction?show_panel=true#item-reporter That’s a bit much, right?

I love this pattern! I found it after doing a very thorough search for a pattern that would show off this beautiful floral print cotton/linen blend fabric I just purchased. I think the design is just perfect for showing off a beautiful medium to large size print. I am in the midst of putting the PDF together right now.

The cape definitely makes it look unique! I quite like that.

How hard would it be to do away with the cape and make this into spaghetti straps? I love the bodice but I’m not too fond of the cape.
