I was excited to see the new Burda Book in the Blog but I want to see which 20 patterns are included before buying it. On Amazon.com, the “look inside” feature ends right after the boilerplate section that they repeat in all of the books at the front so it isn’t very helpful. Has anyone downloaded the book yet that can share what the patterns are? I was also curious how extensive the instructions are for each pattern. Thanks!

I can’t even figure out how to download the pattern sheets. I bought the book in Kindle format and there are links, but no option to save the file that pops up – I’m viewing on my iPad. If you buy it, you’ll have to view it on your computer to save anything, I think. I haven’t tried it yet, though.

Interesting. This is why for a book like this, I would only buy the hardcopy so that I have all of the patterns printed and don’t have tile them all.

I noticed that the Toronto Public Library has 1 e-book copy of the title. And in November, there’s a book for dresses coming to their catalogue. Not sure how patrons will access patterns. Wait lists for both titles exist!

Knowing the Toronto Library wait list, I will probably be able to borrow the book next summer ;-)

FYI- the patterns in the book are all patterns from the International Burdastyle magazine & most of them are available from this website. The amount of patterns for the price of the book is a steal though :)

Yes, I noticed that I have one of them already. I just wish Burda would include a list of all included patterns to help decide if they would be ones I am interested in, before buying the book.

Thanks for the pattern information and news on the book formats. Hope to get the book hardcopy. Burda books are hard to find in stores but online is stocked.
