Hi All! I’ve had some great advice from Burdastyle members in the past, and I’m hoping someone can offer some HELP! I’m having so much trouble sewing with a stretch twin needle :( I’m not sure whats happening… I’ve had success with twin needles in the past. I’m hemming knits. My left row of top stitches keep missing stitches, making long stitches on the top layer and obviously missing zig-zag stitches underneath, its horrible! I’ve been paying careful attention to threading (spools running in opposite directions), tension, stitch length and using fresh needles but no luck :( Can anyone tell me why this is happening? I’m using a high quality Stretch Twin Needle 4.0mm size 75, and I’ve tried a few new needles but its happening all the same.

Any advice would be highly appreciated, thanks!!

Many times skipped stitches are due to dull needles. Depending on the weight of your knit you might need to use aneedle for heavier fabric.
