I am having trouble with Lining pattern pieces 1 and 2. They don’t line up the way that the instructions say they should.
“Lay pieces 1 and 2 together. Pointed bottom end of piece 2 meets bottom marking on piece 1 and lining lines meet at bust level. The small space which forms in between can be ignored. Trace center front lining, up to lining line”.

When I line up piece 1 and 2 as it shows in the diagram, the pointy end of piece 1 extends beyond the curve of piece 2 and there’s a huge gap. It’s too bad I can’t post a picture!

Translation please!

thank you ;)

Do the pieces make a curved seam when sewn together? I’m reading the situation as one piece has a curve and the other piece seems longer, the longer piece will likely shape into the curve of the other piece when you pin the fabrics together. Were the pattern pieces to be cut on the bias or the straight grain?
