I wonder if anyone out there can advise me. I’ve been planning on making “09/2011 Jacket with front zipper #102” for a while now. I’ve bought some fabric and decided how I’m gong to tweak the pattern to make it just how I want it. Then – horror – I went to buy the pattern and it’s petite! I am most definitely not petite
I’m pretty comfortable adjusting patterns – I usually have to do an FBA on tops and jackets and I’ve graded up a skirt by a couple of sizes – but I’m a bit nervous buying a pattern with the largest size of 21 when I’m a 42 or 44.

Has anyone experience they can share?

look on line for resizing patterns . then make a toile out of some spare fabric doesnt have to include all the styling detail just the basic shape to test the fit . you can tweak your toile to fit and if it doesnt work very well or you made a mistake you can alter it without ruining your fabric be brave it isn’t very hard you have just got to take some care. find a quiet time and concentrate. hope this helps
