I know this is a novice project but… Cut the fabric great and did the pleats as well now… I dont seem to understand the waistband piece and how to place it? doesnt seem to fit correctly… Can someone please help? THANKS :)

    Don’t forget that you are fitting a concave curve to a convex one… You do have to ease them together smoothly…

    Check that the waistband fits the person who will wear the skirt first. Make it fit them neatly but not tightly. There should be room in the waistband for a couple of fingers.

    If you find the waistband is a little too small for the skirt sections, just ease a little more fabric into the pleats at the front, and into the side seam allowance at the back. If it’s a little too large, let out the pleats a tad, and let out the seam allowance at the back. bend the skirt sectiond round the waist section and use plenty of pins, placed at right angles to the seam.
