I made the seamed dress pattern (http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/seamed-dress-082012) for a bridesmaid dress.

The problem is, I not so brilliantly used a heavy metallic linen. It looks lovely, but the front panel of the skirt creases when I sit, and I know I will be in lots of pictures, so this is a problem. Are there any creative ideas for ways to solve this? ripping out the skirt and doing an underlining of some sort? the dress is fully lined in a basic slippery lining fabric. Or does anyone have thoughts on a sheer overlay that won’t look strange?

    Linen is going to crease.

Get a bottle of spray starch to iron it with. It makes it crisp. Note that if squeezed, it would wrinkle up again.

I decided to re-do the skirt in a more A-line shape. Now it does not crease as much when I sit, since there is more give, and the fullness makes any wrinkles less obvious. Think it’s a workable solution!
