My pattern has a shoulder princess seam but I would like to create an armscye princess seam instead. how can I manipulate the pattern?

    Sellotape the side panel pattern piece to the front pattern piece from the bust point to the shoulder seam, making sure to match the stitching lines and not the cutting lines. This means is there are 5/8" seam allowances, there will be 1.25" overlap altogether.

    Draw the new seam from the bust point to the armscye. Draw a little line 2" above the bust point for the notch. Cut along the seamline and add seam allowances. If you need to round off the bust point, do this before adding seam allowances.

    Voila! You’re done.
