Hi Folks,

I feel like i’m going a bit cuckoo but i’ve measured the Size 42 bust on the basic bodice sloper pattern
which is 107cm,
but the burda women’s size guide says a size 42 bust should be 96cm!

Can anyone suggest why its so much bigger?

thanks in advance!

If there is a difference between your bust measurement (always pick the correct Burda Style size that matches your bust measurement) and the pattern, it is referred to as EASE-it is the room added to create the fitted/close-fitted or roomier garments. The more ease in the pattern, the larger the garment is for movement. The less ease in a garment, the more fitted a style is.

Burda patterns are sized for B-cups so if your cup size is smaller or larger than a B-cup, you’ll need to make a bust adjustment on the pattern before cutting out the fabric.
