I made dress 6/2015 #120 B, according to the suggested sizing chart using bust measurement, but it was far too big!
I had to cut away about 8cm from the sides altogether. Are all the Burda patterns so much bigger?

I’m wondering about the sizing as well. According to the Burda measurements chart I need a 42 pattern size. I normally buy size 6 clothing in the store. More concerning than the size number is that I would be making the pattern I’m using in the largest size available. This just doesn’t seem right. Any people out there who have been using burda patterns for a while? I’d sure appreciate hearing from you.

I have been referring to “Regular” sizing. When I refer to the size chart its here I see my measurements (Bust size 44 inch which means I am size 50). I purchased approx 6 “Regular” patterns to only find that Regular goes to size 39 inch which is size 44) what a waste of money. Seams size 50 is plus size and the patterns ive purchase dont come in that size. very disappointing. I feel its misleading. I wont purchase again from this site

I am sewing my second fitted t-shirt and my experience with both the burda style patterns is the same – too big. As you say, I had to cut up to 10 cm on the sides. I usually wear size 36 and my body measurements correspond to the burda style sizing chart. I cut size 32 and it was still too big for me :D It is pretty frustrating, because I end up sort of making my own pattern if I want the piece to be wearable.
