Summer is drawing quickly to a close, though the vibrant colors are here to stay. These feminine styles from the 10/2018 issue of BurdaStyle magazine in sizes 44 – 52 boost both mood and confidence

Corded casing tunnels let you regulate the shirt and the sleeve length. Gathering and asymmetry shape a sophisticated silhouette.

This tunic comfortably covers the hips and features an empire bustline that is gently gathered – accentuating and shaping beautifully. A deep V-neckline visually stretches the upper body. Narrow tucks along the neckline and wide cuffs at the sleeve ends are additional high-caliber accents for this style.

Dresses aren’t the only pieces getting the wrap style. This polished silk blouse follows the feminine curves with elegant panache. Bonus: It is easy to sew!

There is no doubt about it: Wrap dresses are this season’s trend – and no wonder, as they shape the figure’s curves to perfection. This style also stands out for the sophisticated piping trim along the neckline and the soft decorative ties at the sleeve cuffs. Princess seams in the bodice ensure that it sits just right at the bustline.

Bundle up for the first cool days of the season with this A-line jacket sewn with a wool crêpe. The roomy raglan sleeves are an especially modern finish.

The vibrant color isn’t all that immediately draws the eye. The pink stretch crêpe skirt includes special touches like the oversized slant patch pockets and the side buttoning plackets for an extra “wow” factor. Fashionistas can pair it as shown here with a true red; or for a softer look, style it with a white blouse or a black turtleneck.

Another beautiful version of the first shirt – this one with a graphic print and a flattering bateau neckline. Shape it as you wish – either as a long shirt or an asymmetric shirt; wear it with long sleeves or 3/4-length sleeves…
