My favorite weekend projects involve matching up trims with remnants and making clothing for kids to be donated. (Clothes get donated, not the kids) I get space, they get clothes. We all win. Nehmah

My favorite weekend projects are items that I can FINISH before the weekend is over. Sometimes they are projects I started earlier in the week (or earlier in life!) and have yet to finish!

is it just me or is this question totally moot? I can never finish ANYTHING over 1 weekend. Maybe I’m just too distracted, too ambitious and most importantly, too inexperienced! :p

My favorite weekend project is one in which I complete what I set out to do. Too often I set out to finish three or four different things and end up disappointed when I don’t even get through one – this year’s resolution is to set more reasonable goals for myself!

I like taking something apart and making it into something else. Shirt into skirt, jeans into a quilt.

    That kind of thing.

I love to make something I’ve never done before, it’s great for learning new techniques. As I am learning, I can use my growing tally of new-found talents to add my own touch to basic patterns and tutorials.

The Heather Ross sundress was one of my favorite weekend projects! I made two this summer: one for me and one for my friend’s daughter. Any project where I can finish a major step by the end of the weekend is great. That way I can get it safely out of the way throughout the week when I’m not sewing.

I’m a law student, so my favorite weekend projects are anything that can be crammed in the few hours I can set aside for sewing. Lately I’ve been working on a summer picnic dress – despite the snow on the ground outside, it’s the only thing I want to work on.
