Be the best dressed on the party circuit in a satin bustier top, patterned pants, and rosette textured dress. You’ll also find men’s patterns! These patterns are from the January 2014 issue of Burda Style magazine.

Rosette textured fabric pops against a sleek satin bodice in the Rose Dress. Combing textures in the same hue is a sophisticated twist on mixing prints that’s unexpected.

Every man needs a crisp Dress Shirt. This timeless style has a classic pointed collar and hidden buttons.

If he likes the casual look of an unbuttoned jacket, he’ll love the Men’s Blazer. The single button closure and rounded lapels hang slightly open to give this jacket a modern look.

Brocade fabric takes the Baroque Pants to the next level for party-ready style. These trousers are cut like jodhpurs for a leg-flattering fit with zip fly and and no pockets.

Bare one shoulder for just a little sex appeal in this asymmetrical dress. A body skimming cut in breezy chiffon flutters while you dance.

Drapey fabric with a metallic foil print makes this simply cut Batwing Top totally stunning. Top is fitted at the hip and bloused at the shoulders with a wide boatneck.

Get the style of a trenchcoat’s beltloops and wide lapels in the Cinched Jacket. This blazer pulls your outfit together with masculine style and a shiny fabric.

This Skirted Top has a fun frilly skirt instead of the usual peplum. The feminine shape looks cute with fitted pants and skirts.

The Infinity Skirt’s unique wrapped look has a romantic Grecian feel. Show it off with a tight-fitting top and contrast satin waistband. Turn lingerie into outerwear in the Satin Bustier. You can dress up this outfit with a blazer if you want to cover up.

Work the room with confidence in these special designs. A little satin, a little metallic shine, and beautifully fitting projects will ring in the new year with style. All that’s missing is champagne!

Happy sewing!

Why the photoshop shadow on her boobs (in the picture that displays his jacket)? It looks weird. And makes me wonder, uncomfortably, what else has been retouched.

Ugh, yes, that looks terrible! and it’s a double failure considering the lack of shadow on the other pictures in the set. Poor effort Burdastyle!

turtlegirl00, I totally agree with you—the batwing top is IT. And that cinched jacket. >swoon< Love, love, LOVE! And thank you, Burda, for the happy, healthy models. Beautiful. More, please.

The jacket is great too. There’s a red, medium-weight silk in my stash, now I dare to use it for a jacket

Loving the little peplum top and skinny leg trousers. And I like the white mens shirt (although my hubby prefers his top buttons done up….)

I like the Batwing Top very much it is one of the few that I have seen which works so well. I have to say though that I am not sure that the pink dress works that well and it appears to be about the weight of the fabric used in the skirt. For this reason I don’t think it works that well on the model although with a better fabric this dress could be made to work.
