This modern collection from the September 2015 issue of BurdaStyle features fall styles for the futuristic gal who doesn’t mind standing out in a crowd. Sporty wide leg trousers, a mini shift dress that can be made a number of different ways and a high collar statement jacket to challenge your sewing skills. See all the looks here!

There are strong accents in this wide shirt dress, which is short and sexy and sequined allover ! All the seams and edges are bound in jersey so the sequins to not scratch the skin on the inside.

This statement mini dress features a large waterfall collar that can be worn as a hood for function or pure drama. The stretch jersey fits close to the body and the bell sleeves are pure feminine beauty on a sporty piece.

This is a statement jacket! This high collar jacket is the perfect project for a sewer looking for a detailed and challenging project. There are zipper and leather details through with color contrast.

These sporty and comfortable trousers are very chic! They have a very wide leg and a large elastic waistband with hidden hip pockets. You can choose to make them as shown in the fashion photo with a contrasting stripe down the side seams for extra detail.

This sensual silk jersey has a sporty cut with zip collar and rounded front shorter hemlines. Pair with stiletto to offset the sporty style and avoid looking like a referee.

This fall jacket features a wide neckline and ultra cozy fit. It’s easy to sew and is completely edged with contrasting twill tape. A tie belt ensures the translucent waist – it is pulled on one side by a large buttonhole.

This large collar, minimalist design has modern details. The slight mini dress features princess seams and wide bell sleeves with a focus on the elaborately pleated turtleneck. It can be styled from sporty to evening easily.

This modern cape features a quilted texture and decorative bound lace edges with a dramatic high collar. Snap buttons on the sides close it if necessary.

This mini mod shift dress features cap sleeves, a crew neck and kangaroo front pockets. The dress closes with a zipper in the back and can be made with a hood.

What’s with all the big necks? I find this collection really unattractive. Different strokes for different folks.

Different tastes are what they are, so I’m happy that some people like this stuff… but I wouldn’t be caught dead in any of it. Yikes!
