It’s a new year and it’s time to get some peace and quiet and get in touch with yourself. This new comfy pattern collection in from burda style magazine’s January 2013 issue makes it easy. Make time for yourself and relax in these feel-good clothes made of lightweight sweatshirt fabrics that feature comfortable drawstrings and loose layers.

A cozy piece for quiet moments. This carmen-style shirt Blouse is made of softly draped jersey. It features lovely wide raglan sleeves and a large neckline with drawcord that allows for ease of movement.

This figure-hugging Gathered Top is made of jersey and is very flexible to wear. It has extra-long raglan sleeves that are beautifully gathered at the wrist. It also features a slightly twisted silk bias strip on the neckline as well as a silk flounce at the hem. The narrow, slightly flared Jogging Pants are a perfect match and also super comfy to wear! They have an attached extra-wide band at the waist and also have inseam side pockets.

This Layered Look Jacket is artfully made by combining a short jersey jacket with a long satin jacket that features a lovely wide shawl collar. We love it worn with this Drawstring Skirt that is both easy to make and wear! It has no fastening – just a wide waistband with drawstring.

This is a dress meant to feel relaxed in. This Dress in lightweight sweatshirt fabric is cut for comfort and is charmingly casual. Features such as its wide neckline with satin edging and drawcord, and its cute raglan sleeves, make it something special.

So comfortable and so lovely! The highlight of this jersey long Jacket is the layer of fine crepe chiffon concealed under the jersey, which appears to be a scarf. And why wear sweat pants, when you can be equally as comfortable in a Sweat Skirt? This ankle-length skirt in light sweatshirt fabric is cool and calm, and delicate in blue. It is without a fastening, but has an extra-wide attached waistband.

This jersey Drawstring Top has pretty, loose drawstrings on both the neckline and around the hips. We love it worn with these matching Drawstring Pants. The special feature of these narrow-cut, slightly flared pants is the wide satin waistband with drawstring for a custom fit!

Happy Sewing!

The long skirt and the jogging pants look like they’d make great maternity patterns.

I look forward to all of the new designs but I agree that I would like to see more children and men designs.

Very nice. The designs look comfortable and stylish, easy to achieve individually, but much more challenging in combination. Looks like they will work well for a variety of body forms.

Thanks Limer… I usually get them at the pick n’ pay, but they dont always get every issue, like October November and December, so it is a bit sad, but will just keep looking everywhere :)
