The words ‘Handmade not homemade’ and ‘Burda Style’ in embroidery style with trailing needle and thread, in a mid pink on a black t-shirt.

It always annoys me when someone says homemade is cheap – handmade isn’t necessarily cheap but it fits and is better finished than most of the stuff on shops hangers!

Wow!! so many great ideas, and along the lines I was thinking of. Maybe a woman sitting at a sewing machine with a tape measure around her neck, a pin cusion on her wrist, scissors on a ribbon around her neck, Thread, ric rac, on the table, and her hair a mess. Sounds like me. I would love one of the shirts. Too bad you don’t have a 2x, but I would settle for a 1×. Thanks Rosetta

I’d like to see a collage of vintage fashion designs and ads for clothes, sewing machines, etc. completely covering a shirt (front and back!)…that would be my favorite shirt ;D

an old school sewing machine would definitely be cool…but I also like Damiana Designs’ idea of the tee being like pattern in itself with all the markings on it…

I’d like to see a non finished T-shirt, as if I bought the tee without the neckline and a few pieces of necklines on different colous to finish it and match them as I like. It’d be fun as all the people buying thje tee are supposed to know how to sew.

Perhaps on the front of the T there will be a vertical line down the middle dividing two captions. One will say "Don’t be Sew Sew! Underneath the caption will be a simple drawing of a person (like the images used for restroom signs). The other half of the shirt will say "LOVE BurdaStyle! Underneath that caption will be a detailed image of a person in a cool outfit with an idea bubble saying “I created this!”.

Andy Warhol-esque 4 square image of a person posing with an arm around a dress form and below would be a caption “I love BurdaStyle” in German. Or a shirt which has on the front “I Love B.S.!” and on the back it would say “BurdaStyle of course!”
