Hmmm… I’m really having a hard time letting go of Domino! But, I do love Dwell. Also (to my surprise!) I’ve really been enjoying my MIL’s hand-me-downs of Country Living. (??!)

I LOVE reading Glamour! I think it has the best eye make-up tips along with the hottest styles in fashion! I also love reading Vogue and Cosmo! One of the magazines I like reading is People. I like to read interviews with some of the celebrities. It helps me try to understand other people’s sense of fashion.

I do like splurging on Burda Style once in a while. It has great inspiration. I do find myself looking forward to my Better Homes and Gardens every month. It helps me think of ways to make my surrounding beautiful to in turn make me feel happy!

I don’t buy too many magazine these days. Many of them just seem to regurgitate the same info over and over. However, I do like Lou Lou Magazine. It’s full of up to date fashion and beauty advice that’s realistic looking and not completely out of my price range.

I love picking up Vogue, but also the versions from different countries. Clothing is about more than just beautiful clothes, the style that decides what is beautiful varies from country to country, and is affected by social attitudes, lifestyle, even politics. It reminds me how different beauty is to each individual person, and makes me consider why I find the things I do beautiful, which changes the way I design, especially costumes, which require me to represent the style of an often fictional set of people.

Vogue and Elle are the best. I love to see what’s big in the fashion world and then tone it down for myself.

My favorites are Threads and Vogue- Threads for the more advanced sewing techniques (some far too advanced for me, which inspires me to be better), and Vogue for eye cand- I mean design inspiration. I just can’t get enough of beautiful clothes, even if most of them are wayyy over the top and impractical for my real-life taste.

In all honesty the only magazines I’ve bought in the last year have been Burda Style. But, when I’m in line at the store I like to peek into Lucky magazine, and see what ladies are buying these days.
