I absolutely love Casey at “Casey’s Elegant Musings”. http://blog.caseybrowndesigns.com/

She does a lot of sewing and design herself, but also spotlights items for inspiration, including vintage catalogue pages to give good vintage fashion ideas. She also has done a series of videos on vintage hairstyling.

My first is Burda. It has everything I want. But my Mother was my biggest influence. She taught me so much about sewing and all kinds of crafts and quilting. I had the best teacher I could have ever had.

My favorite sewing personality (character) is my older brother – When he was graduating with a Masters in Costume Design the ‘big’ newspaper in the Province wanted to do an article on him. Since they wanted to photograph him as well, he DREW his shirt on himself so he couldn’t be ‘dated’ in the article!! His girlfriends got hand pinked nightgowns …I’d get a pile of material with paper pinned to it and a note saying “sew this for you” ahh Brother! :)

My absolute favorite sewing personality is Danny Mansmith. He is artistic in several spheres, but I find his creative garments are extremely well constructedand finished, whilst the style is very much one off. Love his Etsy shop as well.
