I am very fortunate to have a dedicated sewing room and a couple of closets organized with storage containers for my sewing fabric and supplies.

Unfortunately, I only have a dark hallway to sew in. But it’s a great improvement on clearing my desk of its computer and hauling my machine up there every time I wanted to sew!

I just rearranged the house so I’d have a dedicated office and sewing room. I’ve only had time to do one small project, but I’m really looking forward to finishing tweaking my setup and doing a lot more sewing in the new year.

I sew in my living room. I dedicated corner for sewing with a table for my machine I do not care if people see the sewing mess. It just shows that I love to sew. And I can help friends and neighbors with clothing repair needs.

I have a space in my living room reserved for sewing. I’m jealous of Erica Bunkers sewing room.

My sewing room is half of my closet. It is a big closet, but a small sewing room. The advantage is that my seven children stay out of my stuff in my sewing room!

A tiny little corner of my attic. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter..pure bliss. I love having a place to keep everything out and ready.

I have my sewing machine and serger set up in our laundry room and my embroidery machine in the downstairs family room. So my sewing takes up two areas!

A partially repurposed closet in the tv room. Cutting on the livingroom floor. Pattern tracing on the glass slider doors. Ah me, the castle is long ago and far away.

Very cool! No dedicated space – until the kids are out of the house (18+ years!) I sew in my bedroom.

I sew in the guest bedroom. The light comes in lovely during the day and at night I can play jazz music and relax while the baby sleeps…

This summer my sweet husband and his brother remodeled my laundry/sewing room with wall and floor cabinets and painted the room a soft yellow. After sewing with a homemade cabinet for 20+ yrs., I can finally have all my sewing needs in the same area and organized!

I have a room of my own for sewing, reading, needlework and being alone. It’s the first time in my 60 years that I’ve had this luxury.

My husband and I just moved to a bigger apartment, but space is still limited. We plan to use the spare room as an office/crafting room for us.. At the moment, that room is still full of boxes so I sew in the living room :))

I have a spot in my semi-finished basement for all of my sewing things…but lately, I’ve been taking over the kitchen table! Would love to have a real studio setup that is bright and welcoming to let my creativity flow! (and keep the kiddies entertained as well)

When I was 10 and joined 4-H, my mother was given a treadle sewing machine for me to learn on. It went in my bedroom. When I left home for college, I was given a sewing machine that moved into the dorm room with me. When I first moved overseas, I bought a treadle machine and it was moved into the bedroom. I have since always had a sewing machine, and it had a designated space, but never a whole sewing room. I’m now retired, children grown and moved out – their room is the ‘sewing room’ but half the room is a guest room. Also I usually carry a sewing/quilting/embroidery project with me when travelling – I have/make sewing space!

I sew in my upstairs “extra” room. We finally got all my sewing stuff moved into the room and I’ve set up a raised cutting table, a machine table, my dress form, and TONS of fabric everywhere! I’m working on the organization of all my notions and patterns as I sew to try to bring order to the controlled chaos!
