Light weight cotton is my favourite. Easy to sew and great to wear.

I sew most with cotton, but to completely honest I love sewing with fakey suede type fabric. I used some to make a hat for my otter stuffed animal Rachel, and it felt so nice slipping through my needle. Silky, but not slippery. Solid and dense, but not so much I need to pull the needle through with my teeth. And soft, oh so soft!

My favorite fabric to work with has to be vintage French linen to embroider on and any wool I can lay my hands on to knit with – this is the BEST competition prize ever btw!

if i could afford it, i’d work more with fine wool felt and linen. but since i’m on a budget, i’m a cotton girl. the tighter the better.

I love working with cotton. I love the crisp neat lines of the finish. I like it all, the only thing I haven’t tried is a lot of stretch, and sheers. Maybe this year. Thanks.

I’m still a novice to sewing, so I’m going to say it has to be cotton that is my favorite fabric to work with.

I like sewing with a nice – almost crunchy – linen… when the weave is really tight it has a nice bounce to it, and presses like a knife. LOVE IT!

Wow, this is a seriously wonderful giveaway. Love Selvedge. Favorite fabric to work with…by the sheer volume of my stash, I would have to say cotton in all its variations and every color.

Well I love working with jersey most because it is so forgiving to my still pretty unimpressive and impatient sewing skills. Especially since I’ve found a couple of great sources for beautiful and unique prints (albeit a bit pircey) I love the ability to have one of a kind pieces.

I have to agree that the Liberty Cotton Lawns are beautiful and terrific to work with. I made a gorgeous paisely tie with Liberty for my husband for our wedding.

Velvet; the real stuff and stretch panne’, although, it’s challenging to work with and I do end up with technocolored bogies. :) I also like upholstery fabric for its stiffness and clean pressed seams. I am covering my dining room chairs now in a microfiber suede.

I absolutely love working with jersey fabrics, everything always feels great and easy enough to work with. Finished garments fit well and draping looks great too. The next one is georgette- love it in tops and blouses! And finally wool blend fabrics ( even though they are challenging) I love the finished look and feel.
