Welcome to day two of our Holiday Giveaway! Win a thread organizer box from Mettler! Comment on this blog article by 9AM (EST) Friday, December 3rd to be entered to win!

Why you never again lose the thread with the Mettler Organizer Box.

– Minimal space requirement – great capacity. Up to 104 Mettler thread spools may be stored and are clearly visible in the 36 × 37 × 5 cm small plastic box. And they are protected from dirt, dust and humidity.

– Ready to hand in seconds. Thanks to the optimal safekeeping system – each spool is placed on a special holding device – you get a good grip on the desired thread in no time. The remaining colors are guaranteed to stay on the spot.

– Handy to use. The Mettler Organizer Box finds its place anywhere. For example free standing, partially opened on the table or fully opened, hung on the wall.

– Use it at home or on the road. The filled weight of only 1,9 kg allows a comfortable transport. With the Mettler Organizer Box your thread spools are always secure and under control.

1x organizer box offering space for 104 spools of Mettler Metrosene (art 1161, 150m all purpose thread).

Besides Sewing, I draw, do photography, ceramics and Tai Chi as much as family and work obligations permit. I tend to do things in episodes one thing for a while and then another. I find that when I start to get stale on one activity shifting what I do refreshes the other activities.

I have a wide range of hobbies, other than (re-picking up) sewing. Crocheting, singing, dancing, web design, target practice, drawing, modeling, photography, playing video games, reading, and I’m also something of a tea connoisseur. xD

While a working woman I never had any hobbies. Simply didnt have the time..But after my daughter was born, I gave up working and voila I discovered a new world. I have started with sewing and make dresses for her. Since a gal looks incomplete without accessories I have now started on bead jewellery. And when she dresses up, I take my husband’s pro camera and start taking pictures. Children are a blessing in more ways than one. :)

Other than sewing, I enjoy playing sports, playing games, and photoshopping. I’m still young so I enjoy the outdoors and staying active. I was never really a fashion person, but after learning sewing from my mother, it inspired me to use my creativity.

I love to do anything with my hands but it also has to be a challenge to my brain. I enjoy silver smithing, soldering, and constructing 3 D assemblages with reclaimed items.

Other than sewing I enjoy sketching, painting, and photography. I find myself sewing on most of my spare time so I never seem to have much time for my other hobbies.

Other than sewing? Well I’m a musician mainly; classical singer and composer. I also have been riding since I was six (but I don’t get much of a chance to do that now days), I salsa dance and like most sewers I also enjoy photography.

This is such a handy little box. I haven’t seen them before, are they sold in Australia at all?

Living life is my best hobby. It’s enjoyable in every way. I like doing arts and crafts with my 8 yr. old daughter, I like to teacher her art in every media I know, from watercolor painting to photography to sewing to beading to playing instruments (we currently have the guitars acoustic and electric, cello, violins, xylophone, and a flute. I guess you could say I am ADD when it comes to the fine arts I just have a lot to say and sometimes words just aren’t enough to express myself.

I missed the first day of the giveaway … I love this event! (I could always use more thread, and now that my sewing room has been re-organized, I’m really in a position to take advantage of additional organising thingies!

Other hobbies? Is there anything else that beats sewing? I do dance tango, though!

Besides sewing I’m a mad vegetable gardener. I tend to do more sewing in the winter and gardening in the summer when the weather is warmer. I grow all my own own organic vegetables and herbs and have some beautiful and yummy heritage varieties. My favorite thing to do in the summer is snack on green beans straight from the vine while I’m weeding and pruning. Yum! I have a blog called Turnips and Toile (www.turnipsandtoile.blogspot.com) about my two favorite hobbies!
