I found BurdaStyle through a search engine! I was making a dress and had a question about a term, “french seam.” When I Googled it, BurdaStyle, was one of the results. I was so impressed by the site, that I immediately registered. BurdaStyle is my go-to sewing source!

I learned about Burdastyle from Threadbanger. I think they did a highlight feature on the company and we were being taught on how to follow a pattern.

My mother gave me a sewing machine, the first thing I did with it was my wedding veil, so after all the wedding stresses I started to look on the web tips for sewing, being me my own teacher, patterns, projects for newbies. And so I found a free download of an easy pattern for a lovely baby doll dress at the german Burda style, (but I could never download it), so clicking here and there I found this site :)

I was looking for free patterns on the internet, that is how I found you. Been hooked on it ever since, not a day goes by without checking all the awesome creations members upload here. Though I have not uploaded anything yet, will take pictures soon. Oh, and one more thing, I use my great-grandmother’s Fiskars scissor, that is at least 30 yrs old, and it is still flawless :)

I can remember seeing Burda patterns all my life. My mother made all my clothes and I grew up loving the time we spent going to the fabric store and choosing the patterns and fabrics. Over the last year I have been searching online using keywords from all the pattern name brands I remembered and found BurdaStyle. I found it very intriguing and full of more wonderful tips and ideas than ever! Thank you for all the time you spend creating and gathering ideas for your site!
