Well besides BurdaStyle, I find my inspiration in everything I see. You just have to look with designer eyes and you’ll be surprised. Lately I like pages such as Polyvore.com, Thefashionista.com, Honestlywtf.com and Outsapop.com. I also like searching for inspiration in old magazines and mix them with the new trends of the runways.

Blogs, blogs and more blogs :) also right here on BurdaStyle. Another place I prowl is PatternReview, especially when I am not sure about a pattern, having so many personal reviews and mods gives me extra confidence.

A lot of my inspiration comes from this very website! I think I discovered it when I put in a search for “purse patterns”. Upon finding the website, I started browsing around. One of the first things I looked at was the featured member – Casey of Elegant Musings. After coming back to this website, I finally decided I wanted to start sewing my own clothes. I continue to draw inspiration from the projects BurdaStyle members have posted, as well as from some of the blogs that I have found. While Casey’s blog continues to be one of my favorties, I also really enjoy Sewaholic, Colette Patterns (Coletterie), and Gertie’s Blog for Better Sewing.

I find a lot of inspiration from my Burda sewing magazines! I also like to look at designer fashions online, and sometimes I see what is popular in stores, though I rarely buy anything. I also love to look at historical fashion to pull inspiration for my costumes. I am really liking the new Burda Sewing Handbook – it is inspiring me to think about how I can change and alter patterns to make something totally unique!

I’m looking for inspiration all day, watching tv series, films, reading blogs and magazines, seeing projects on BurdaStyle… When something inspires me I have the need to draw it in my notebook that it’s plenty of good ideas just waiting the right fabric and moment.

I love books and blogs. ReFashionista & oonaballoona are current favs on blogs. I love to peruse the Burdastyle site. I love sewing books—because of time constraints, Sandra Betzina’s concept of wedging my sewing into a finite time is currently appealing. I also love Twinkle sews—inspired design.

I find my sewing inspiration in my local fabric shop, Allyn’s. They’ve been around for decades and have the most beautiful and unique selection of fabrics I’ve ever seen! I can’t help but let those fabrics tell me what I should make them into!

I get my inspiration from blogs and books. I recently had the Martha Stewart book checked out of the library and renewed it until they wouldn’t let me anymore. Would love to add it, as well as the other books, to my personal “library.”
