Summer nights will be a little more glamorous in these divine designs. Hit the beach in ruched and ruffled dresses, or mix and match breezy tops with flirty skirts and shorts. Make them in lace and metallics for extra glamour! These new pattern are from the July 2013 issue of burda style magazine. Vacation in style!

Nothing says effortless glam like a washed silk tunic. This one features wrapped and twisted layers of fabric for a romantic look, and combines stretch jersey and silk for a comfy fit. Shirt has a henley-style neck and 3/4 sleeves.

Go from the beach to dinner in the Raglan Lace Dress. This floaty style has a ruffled hem, sweeping bell sleeves, and pretty split neckline shape. Make it in lace or something sheer for extra romance.

The Ruffled Mini Skirt is sweet and sexy. Pick a ruffled lace fabric, and line it with a subtle print for extra flair. Skirt is trimmed with sequin tape.

To really stand out, make the allover Sequined Tank. The boxy V-neck shape isn’t too formal, so you can pair it with any kind of bottoms. Don’t be afraid to get noticed!

Cover up in style in the Bangle Dress. This sexy self-drafted style comes together with a metal bangle. Dress can be worn in multiple ways for different beach-ready looks.

Another easy coverup is the Draped Dress. This self-drafted dress has Grecian style.

The petite version of our Batik Dress has just as much beachy style. The Petite Halter Dress has keyholes and ruching flatter the bust, and the halter ties are casual and cute.

Cozy up in the loose Long Jacket. Sequin trim adds a little glamour to the oversized shape, and pockets are both cute and functional.

Gathered straps and a softly sweeping cowl neckline make the Jersey Cowl Top special. Make it in the softest jersey you can find with contrasting satin straps.

Tailored shorts get even fancier in a shiny fabric. Front and back pleats, rolled cuffs, and pockets add structure, so you can dress the Sheen Shorts up or down.

Crinkled silk batiste gives a cropped bomber jacket a totally different look. The Ruffled Jacket also has asymmetrical and embellished fronts. This statement piece will dress up any outfit!

The Double Layer Dress is simple and elegant. The loose, floaty style is perfect for relaxed vacation dressing. Layered fabric, a V neck, and delicate cap sleeves are soft and feminine

Mix and match pieces from the Golden Sands collection for a totally different summer look. Neutral metallics look gorgeous in the summer sun, and will really set off a tan! Let us know which one of these dreamy pieces is your favorite.

Happy sewing!

Hello Everyone, This is my first post to Burdastyle.com. I have been sewing for many years and make about 50% of my clothes. I have been buying Burda patterns and love them, but just found this site. Bought the “Alexander Blouse” and made three of them. The instructions for that pattern were great. But subsequent patterns have had instructions that were not so complete for me. Am I the only one who is at a loss with the 2/3 paragraph, no drawings instructions?

I like these, I think they are great for maternity, easy shapes that create great silhouette, but do not waste fabric.

I have been struggling to pick a fave all day. I think it’s a tie between the Silk Twisted Top, Petite Halter, and (of course) Raglan Lace Dress. Now I just need an island vacation…

Stunning collection ! The Jersey Cowl Top is my favorite. The soft draping at the bustline compliments a large bust and flatters most figure types. Some of these patterns can also be graded to plus size figures as well.

Pretty excited about those shorts! And (maybe with a little experimentation) the washed silk tunic looks interesting! :)

The sequin tank and long cardigan/jacket are both interesting, and probably the two things I’d consider making from this group
