Get a crush on these soft and sweet patterns in shades of pink with tiers of ruffles, lots of ruching, and three pretty tops. These designs are from the July 2010 issue of Burda Style magazine. All instructions for previously published patterns have been updated.

This Dress with Flounces is all girl! Make a splash at your next party with tiers of ruffles and a plunging halter neckline embellished with more frills. It’s fun for dancing or your next turn as the birthday.

Baby doll tops create a soft weekend silhouette. This Tunic Top with Frills has a hip length and frills accenting the scoop neckline and cuffs. Call attention to the bust shaping with contrast color lace.

Create curves in a Draped Knee Length Skirt with all over ruching. The draped effect is softer than your typical pencil skirt for a feminine shape.

A tank Top with Front Scarf is dressed up with a cascading scarf you can tie in a variety of ways. The scarf also creates the straps and a racer back style.

Godets make this slip dress extra special. It’s slinky and delicate with spaghetti straps and little flutters at the front bust. Add floral embroidery for that formal touch.

Feel like salsa dancing? You will in this Knee Length Ruffled Skirt with a wild flounced hem. It’s all business at the top with a side zip and narrow waistband but has a dramatic finish.

For days when you want a girly touch that’s still understated. This Blouse with Shoulder Frills has just enough interest in ruffles along the shoulders and gathered short sleeves.

Show your softer side in this collection. Blush pink is easy to match and more forgiving than white or cream. Work this warm weather neutral into your wardrobe with a floral hair accessory or vintage shoes to build on the feminine appeal.

Happy sewing!

I like the blouse with the shoulder frills and I like the way that it is styled. The shoes are a counterbalance to all the sweet which I rather like. That being said I don’t get the grey bandage (?) on the models leg. You can see it on the other leg but it has been air brushed out; bad day at the office Burda?

Love the blouse with frills. This issue also had a version with no frills that looked totally different (love that). The slip dress is so pretty. The tunic with frills is lovely. I should try to knock one out while I’m pregnant.

I reviewed this back issue a little while back. Only one thing made my must sew list from this story – the pretty blouse. You can see my review here: http://veryvintagevixen.wordpress.com/2013/07/28/burda-style-july-2010/

I’m not into frills, but the blouse can be made without them and I think it’s a great pattern.
