STEP 1
Use the template for the exterior and lining fabrics. Mark a 1 cm/ 3/8 in seam allowance and cut two each of the fabrics.
STEP 2
Stitch each exterior fabric piece, right sides facing, to a lining fabric at 1 cm/ 3/8 in allowance. Press the seam allowance toward the lining.
STEP 3
Pin pieces together with right sides facing and stitch around, being sure to leave sections open on the exterior for the flex frame and an opening in the lining for turning to the right side.
STEP 4
Carefully cut aways the corners of the seam allowances on both sides. Trim back the allowances and clip corners close to the sewing line all around.
STEP 5
At each of the side openings for the flex frame, press back and glue the allowances with leather glue. Use clips to hold them in place until they dry completely.
STEP 6
Turn the pouch right sides out through the opening in the lining and sew the lining closed by hand. Turn the lining into the exterior pouch and secure the upper edge in place with sewing pins.
STEP 7
Topstitch the upper edges 2 cm/ 7/8 in from the top, place the flex frame through the casing and secure it in place.
FINISHED!
You can even add some personal and unique touches to your little bags like tassels, ribbons, and even hand embroidery.
