Faux Fur Cutting Tips

Steps 1 2

Step 1: Pieces include 1 cm (3/8") wide SA: Fur: front and back, each 27 × 14 cm (10 3/4″ × 5 1/2"); flap: 27 × 12 cm (10 3/4″ × 4 3/4") Lining: 27 × 28 cm (10 3/4″ × 11″) (front + back), 27 × 12 cm (10 3/4″ × 4 3/4") (flap)

Step 2: When cutting, note the direction of the nap. Cut out the back and flap pieces with the nap lying up and the front piece with the nap lying down.

Steps 3 4

Step 3: Pin the back, front, and flap pieces together, smoothing the fibres to the inside. Stitch the seams. Then stitch the side seams.

Step 4: Mark the position of the clasp. Iron Decovil to the wrong sides, as follows: centre 13.5 cm from both edges, 3 cm from outer edge of flap and 6.5 cm from upper edge of front. Attach clasp to the front. (1 cm = 3/8")

Steps 5 6

Step 5: Lining: Stitch front and back piece to the flap piece. Stitch one side seam of lining. Pin outer edges of lining to fur bag, smoothing fur to inside. Stitch as pinned.

Step 6: Attention: Leave one side seam of lining open, for turning. Iron Decovil to flap lining (see Step 4).

Steps 7 8

Step 7: Turn right side out, through the lining side seam.

Step 8: Press allowances on open side seam edges of lining to wrong side. Pin lining side seam closed.

Steps 9 10

Step 9: Edgestitch lining side seam closed, by machine. Alternatively, this seam can be sewn closed by hand.

Step 10: Attach clasp to flap, basting lining and fur together if needed. Working from the lining side, hand sew backstitches close to the flap edges.

Good tutorial about Furry Clutch, I doing it for my daughter, which is to study at the university. I help her and her classmates along with https://typemyessayz.com write essays that score the maximum score, and save the time of students who wanted to send it to something else.
