I love to give books, craft items and legos. On Christmas day, my 2 granddaughters and I sew or do crafts. This year we will make dog blankets as they have a new puppy.

My most memorable Christmas gift I made was a clutch purse for our dear friends teenage daughter, featuring Wonder Woman theme fabric. The surprise and joy on her face was so rewarding.

I made a Christmas tree out of two bookshelves! It looks like an actual tree, and we painted it green and draped lights on it. On each of the “branches” (which were shelves), we placed photos of our loved ones. We also put some other little things that meant alot to my wife and I, like a bracelet, my dog tags, etc. All small items of our life and family through the years. I love that tree!

The most memorable thing I have ever made was a button Christmas tree. I didn’t think it was a big deal but my kids and friends loved it, and I still have it. I put it out every year. The coolest thing about this button Christmas tree, is that I used buttons not only from some of the clothes my children had outgrown, but some buttons I’d inherited from my mom and grandmother. So it was a really neat mix of buttons and it will probably become a family heirloom someday!
